Version 2026-10-draft. The version you sign is recorded with your signature.

The guarantee

When you sign, you confirm:

1. I know the employee personally and believe them to be honest and of good character.

2. If the employee leaves a job without notice or can’t be reached, I’ll help the employer contact them.

3. An employer may contact me about the employee’s conduct while they work there.

4. This guarantee doesn’t make me liable for any money unless I agree to that separately in writing.

5. I can withdraw at any time through EmployTrail. My guarantee ends 30 days after I withdraw.

What happens before you sign

Confirming your address

After signing, you confirm your address from home using your phone’s location and a photo of the building, or by uploading a utility bill or tenancy agreement less than 3 months old. An employer may also pay for a field agent to visit. If something about your photo looks wrong, a member of our team reviews it before the check is confirmed.

What employers see

That you verified your identity and signed, your occupation and city, how long you’ve known the person, and the result of your address check. Never your NIN or your full address.

Withdrawing

You can withdraw at any time from your guarantor link. Your guarantee ends 30 days after you withdraw. The person you vouched for, and any employer currently viewing their trail, will be told.

Your data
